Dothan–Enterprise–Ozark combined statistical area

The Dothan–Enterprise–Ozark Combined Statistical Area is a CSA made up of five counties in the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Alabama. The statistical area includes one metropolitan area and one micropolitan area. As of the 2000 census, the CSA had a population of 223,605 (though a July 1, 2008 estimate placed the population at 237,006).[1]

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 223,605 people, 89,135 households, and 63,427 families residing within the CSA. The racial makeup of the CSA was 75.23% White, 21.41% African American, 0.56% Native American, 0.69% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.76% from other races, and 1.30% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.08% of the population.

The median income for a household in the CSA was $31,379, and the median income for a family was $37,805. Males had a median income of $29,722 versus $20,180 for females. The per capita income for the CSA was $16,678.
